ABOUT BRIGHTON & HOVE

Brighton & Hove is one of the UK's most popular destinations to visit and live. Sometimes described as 'London on Sea' it is culturally rich, wonderfully decadent but also very chilled and laid back.

It also has a thriving Tango scene and is home to TangoBootCamp, the organisers of England International Tango Festival. It is where we live and teach and we are proud to host this year's Festival in our hometown.

ACCOMMODATION BRIGHTON & HOVE

Brighton & Hove is popular year round with tourists and events. Demand for accommodation always outstrips supply and unfortunately prices are always high. The good news is the venue is very well connected with Hove station 1 minute from the venue and plenty of buses to connect across town (inc late night). Taxi Rank is also 1 min away.

 FESTIVAL HOTEL PACKAGE

Once we knew the Festival would be in Brighton we immediately pre-booked a number of rooms with an affordable local hotel (7-10 min drive). We maxxed out our allowed allocation but they will still be limited in number and will sell out quickly. They will only be available as part of the Festival Hotel Package (including Milonga Pass & number of Workshops). The package will be on a per person basis but minimum room occupancy will need to be 2 people (so 2 friends or a couple). Full details of the Package will be uploaded to 'ACCOM' page and FB event in next few days. Please don't contact us to pre-reserve, it needs to be done via the Booking Form which will be available when bookings open.

We have also spent a very frustrating past 3 months tirelessly negotiating with many other locals hotels to get more rooms secured at better prices for you. Some of these have still not reopened yet hotel because they are still operating as Refugee/Assylum Housing. Unfortunately most of the reopened local hotels are still in a 'fill your boots' , summer season post covid mode and refuse to offer better bulk discounted rates.

OTHER LOCAL ALTERNATIVES

Hotels:
It is still possible to find single, double or twin rooms very locally in Hove, but it isn't cheap. So to save money you may prefer to book one in Brighton (Kemptown has more affordable b&bs) or a bit further out of Brighton. Nearby towns such as Worthing currently have lots of good quality reasonably priced accom.
AirBnB:Lots of choice for all budgets

Youth Hostels/Camping:Plenty around Brighton and slightly outside

Local Dancers Hosting:
We are also expecting a number of locals will offer hosting to visiting dancers. Details will be posted in FB event

ABOUT RALLI HALL

Ralli Hall is a fantastic spacious and atmospheric venue. It is more than 100 years old and full of character.

The main hall we will use for the Festival is a beautiful Art-Deco Ballroom. It has a state of the art sound system and fantastic wooden floor. Plus we will also use the Gymnasium and Youth Lounge and a few other rooms. All have good floors for dancing. It has been home for TangoBootCamp for 15 years and we it is where we hold our annual Brightangothon Tango Marathon.
